  • More History/Life

The island of Madagascar is a island that has barely been touched my man kind. It has animals that no where on earth are found except for Madagascar.
Madagascar has its own people though that are very respectful of the nature and what it brings to the economy of Madagascar. It brings a lot of tourism that promotes economic wealth. Since the island has a large natural harbor it is able to take in many imports and exports and natives to come and go from island to island.

Since 1896 Madagascar has been dominated by the french through wars and alliances. Today French is the official language of the people. The people live regular lives except with less moderizations for say you and I would have in the United States. The main thing here would be that the education is very low. The males in Madagascar have been the leaders/decision makers for centuries. Most people can read and write if their at least 15 years old and over. Most of the people there go through their family traditions and live through old traditions. But on a every day life people have jobs, but not in a big building job. Mainly labor work in farming or traveling. For fun they play sports mainly Soccer. Also they have ceremonies and music for enjoyment.
